Spectacular Victorian Antique Library Bookcase
This Spectacular mid 19th century Victorian Antique Library Bookcase on Cupboard has been constructed from the finest quality Mahogany timbers and is clearly the work of a true Victorian craftsman, circa 1850. It has a moulded cornice above two glazed doors with arched moulded edges and key with working lock. The interior of each section comprises of four adjustable shelves ideal for storing all those books. The lower section has a beautifully figured top with moulded edge above two cupboard doors with working lock and the interior has one shelf along with a drawer, having dividers for bottles of wine. The corners have the most spectacular carved corbels and the piece as a whole stands on a moulded plinth. This Fine Victorian bookcase splits into two sections for easy removal and the Mahogany has aged to a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of furniture wax finishing.
