This late 18th Century Georgian Period Oak Antique Settle / Bench is a nice long size and dates from ca. 1790. It has a beautifully figured back with four raised fielded panels and simple shaped scrolled arms with beautifully turned upright supports. It is of pegged construction and stands on elegant cabriole front legs. This antique bench would be ideal in an entrance hall, kitchen or traditional pub setting. The oak has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of antique wax finishing.
