This Fine Quality Large Edwardian Satinwood Antique Pedestal Desk would have been originally used as a dressing table, it dates from ca. 1900 and is in the Gillows design. It has a beautifully figured moulded top above a central drawer over large kneehole and each pedestal has four Oak lined drawers with unusual decorative copper beading around the edges and quality brass handles. This beautiful antique desk stands on eight beautifully turned legs with brass castors, the sides are cross banded and beaded and it has aged to a beautiful golden Satinwood shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
